Join directors Kavi Pau and Nigel Short on a pioneering collaboration bringing together Indian classical musicians with the rich harmonies of a western choir
Join world-leading choir Tenebrae and cross-cultural ensemble Third Culture Collective, along with their directors Nigel Short and Kavi Pau, in a pioneering collaboration bringing together Indian classical musicians with the rich harmonies of a Western choir.
Through a series of experimental workshops, the artists have worked together to bridge the differences between their traditions - one rooted in complex harmony and notation, the other in raga-based intricacy and improvisation. The result is a bold exploration of One Voice - a seamless sound world of western choir, soaring Hindustani vocals, and resonant textures of sitar, bansuri, tabla, and harmonium. Under the direction of Kavi Pau and Nigel Short, you will hear reimagined works, new arrangements, and original compositions, all of which embody Guru Nanak’s message of oneness and truth.
